Spegla Dam
Spelga Dam is located in the Mourne Mountains of County Down, Northern Ireland. It was built in 1960 as part of a project to supply water to Belfast. The dam is known for its ability to make cars roll up the hill due to its unique design. Recently, the summer heatwave caused the water levels to drop so low that it revealed a hidden Victorian road beneath the reservoir. Visitors can take a day trip to explore this area and experience its scenic views and hiking trails. Spelga Dam is an interesting place with a rich history that many people enjoy exploring.
With so much to see in just one area a day trip might wont cut it so if you do decide to stay make sure to consider our very own Fairy River!
